Dennis Zolotor holds a BS in Safety/Security from Central Missouri State University & has over 15 years experience working in the corporate Environmental Health, Safety & Security fields. He has been nominated to the national board of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists, Inc. How We Test:

Utilizing a continuous radon monitor (CRM), we read & record real-time continuous measurements of radon gas in your home, & download the data to a pc for test report generation. Depending on the results, we can offer different levels of solutions to your radon problem. The simplest & most cost-effective solution is to seal the concrete. We offer do-it-yourself products for this solution.

What Is Radon?

Radon is a colorless, odorless, tasteless radioactive gas that is the product of decaying Uranium & Radium in the soil, & has been proven to cause lung cancer. There is no way to sense radon. This radioactive gas migrates up through the soil & easily penetrates porous concrete, foudnation cracks & sumps to enter your home, where it concentrates & threatens your health. Radon is measured in picocuries per liter of air. The national average of indoor radon levels in homes is 1.3 pCi/L. The EPA estimates that 1/15 U.S. homes has indoor radon levels at or above the EPA's action guideline level. The EPA recommends taking action to reduce indoor radon when levels are 4 pCi/L or higher.
